This is fall 2010...Had a conversation with this guy last night as he watched me put the ducks to bed. "no ducks on the menu tonight". He flew away without a single sound. I couldn't figure out why the ducks were hiding in their hut....they are so very aware of birds overhead...give the blue jays wide berth when stealing duck food and can see a hawk or eagle soaring miles and miles away....but a five foot menacing saint Bernard type dog, they run out to play with! It actually took my breath away..scary..but I guess I knew he'd just fly away. He was about 2 feet high.
